I'm interested highly in this one, though I desperately wish the author had developed the concept more and into a fuller story. It had some truly painful lines, with that ghost of CLex that makes me shiver sadly.

Whoa doggies. Science and obsession and Helen. And fits so flawlessly into canon that, wow, doesn't THIS explain a few things about Helex.

Into the Woods by Rivkat
Oddly, there's no way I can begin to explain WHAT about this one haunted me. But like any good fairy tale before Disney, it leaves the creep and forgets the happy ending.

Many Waters by Livia - NEW
Right after Heat aired, Liv was talking about the scene at the end with Clark and Lex, then wandered off to point out the fact that as yet, Lex doesn't know that Desiree used krypto-powers to make him fall in love.

This was depressing. Very. Also reawakened my Clark issues somewhat. But anyway, I was hoping she'd run with the idea. Livia explores Lex's reaction to the events of Heat with beautiful, painful, brutal thoroughness. I didn't need those little details, really. The tiny little things, like the wedding dresse and finding the wedding night negligee and how falling in love for Lex always ends up so very, very badly. I DID NOT NEED TO PITY LEX MORE HERE!

There really ISN'T enough Chloe and Pete fic out there. And damn, they are cute when they're well-written. Set during Chloe's internship over the summer, Pete and Chloe get more than friendly.

Almost completely dialogue, and an interesting view of Lex's past with Victoria. Clexy, also. *g* Very nice read.

Riding Lessons by Christie (Smallville, Lex/Lana)
One of the most through kiss descriptions in creation, beautifully characterized Lana, lovely Lex. Grrr times two.

Vector by Hope (Smallville, Chloe/Lex)
Chloe/Lex isn't usually my cup of tea, but this one is beautiful. Rich, dark, like bittersweet chocolate, and so many possibilites.
